More and more hectic lifestyles have led many people to care more about their diet and the idea of healthy eating is an increasingly important goal in today’s society, even at breakfast.
Deciding to please the guests who manifest this particular need means finding the right way to satisfy all those travelers aware and attentive to their well-being, even while traveling.
The moment of breakfast cannot escape the challenge of healthy eating but, contrarily, you also must know how to evolve and transform it to meet the demands of the market that, today more than ever, has decreed the victory of healthy food over all the other ones. In addition, it often happens that even all those that are not used to take a moment to have breakfast at home, find the right occasion to do it in the hotel lounge.
Nothing is healthier than fruit
We find fruit at the top of the healthy breakfast list. From baskets of inviting fresh fruit (seasonal, local or exotic) up to jams without added sugar. For all the hotels that want to keep up with the times, the must-have is the avocado toast: a slice of bread with avocado, sliced or as a cream, diced or spread and then garnished with fruit, cheese or eggs.
Another way to embrace healthy eating is to play with different textures: why limit yourself to a fruit when you can also have extracts or smoothie? Interesting mix of fruit perfectly combined with milk, yogurt or superfood such as goji berries, dried fruit or maca.
Sugar is a fundamental component in achieving the right amount of daily energy, but its excess can also create considerable damage. This is why the possibility to choose foods with a low sugar content can easily conquer all guests who are attentive to their diet and aware of what they eat. An alternative can be the use of whole cane sugar, honey or maple syrup. Other sources of strictly healthy sweetness can be barley malt, which contains sodium, potassium and magnesium, agave juice, rich in minerals salts, or stevia powder, of South American origin.
Raw food includes a series of feeding practices that have in common the refusal for any physical or chemical treatment of food. It is not necessary to follow the raw diet to increasingly prefer raw foods that have therefore retained all their organoleptic qualities and their nutritional properties .
It’s also advisable to offer vegetable milk, such as almond or hazelnut one, or kefir, which are all drinks of Caucasian origin that are definitely conquering also the West.
